Red River Lodging

The Lazy Miner Lodge is located on Main Street in beautiful Red River, New Mexico. We offer some of the finest units in Red River at very affordable rates. The Lazy Miner has direct access to the river, a large recreational area with picnic facilities, volleyball, horseshoes and playground, plus a large; glass enclosed hot tub for your relaxation. All rooms receive daily maid service and, of course, linens are furnished and kitchen units are fully equipped. Each room has telephone and color cable TV with HBO, and most rooms have a fireplace. For those of you who need their morning coffee, each room also comes with a coffeepot. The Lazy Miner Lodge can accommodate groups of all sizes. Our five-bedroom apartment can serve as the hub of your activities, and with its two complete kitchens, no meal is too difficult to prepare. We will also be happy to offer a package designed to fit your needs and budget. The Lazy Miner Lodge is Red River's only fully recycling lodge. Each room contains a recycling bin labeled with the different items, which may be recycled. Please help us to protect our environment by separating your recyclable items during your stay. Your stay at the Lazy Miner Lodge will be one to remember and to repeat. During the summer, spend your hours hiking, fishing, horseback riding, 4-wheel driving, or riding the scenic summer chairlift. In the winter, enjoy the ski town of the Southwest with down hill skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling or just riding one of the horse-drawn sleighs down Main Street to your favorite shops. Lifts West is the place of pleasant contrasts. Old World charm combined with modern conveniences; luxury surrounded by a warm, homey atmosphere; bustling activity --from Main Street to our own atrium lobby and shopping mall-- with the quiet privacy of our well-designed rooms just steps away. Lifts West's lobby is the most dramatic space in Northern New Mexico. It is three stories high with a giant stone fireplace at one end and a sleek glass elevator at the other. This airy, flag-festooned room is the site of classical music concerts, square dancing, lectures, and specially arranged meetings as well as cozy apres ski rendezvous around the blazing fire. On the premises Lifts West offers: a shopping mall, a fine restaurant, a ski rental and clothing store, two Jacuzzis, sauna, a heated pool, underground parking, conference facilities. Mountain Shadows has motel units that will accommodate two people. They have one queen bed, sitting area with color/cable TV and full bath. These rooms are ideal for that romantic weekend get-a-way or for the honeymoon couple. Rooms start at $50.00. If you need a room with a kitchen Mountain Shadows offers the one room kitchenette that has two full beds, sitting area with color/cable TV, one full bath and a fully equipped kitchen. These rooms will accommodate four people and are great when you don't want to eat every meal out. Each one is equipped with an apartment size gas stove and oven, full size refrigerator, pots, pans, dishes and silverware. You can cook a full meal or just make sandwiches. The two-room, two-bath kitchen is perfect for five to six people. One room has two full beds, sitting area with color/cable TV, fully equipped kitchen and full bath. The adjoining room has one queen bed, sitting area with color/cable TV and another full bath. You can put the kids in one room with their TV and you can have your privacy (and your own TV) in your own room. These kitchens are equipped like the one room kitchens. Each room has beautiful tongue and groove knotty pine walls. The rooms are beautifully decorated with an "Old West" theme, Some of the units have antique pieces that are over 100 years old. Rooms with kitchens have custom built cabinets to carry out the overall theme. The pulls on the doors are made from pony shoes and each kitchen is unique in its color and woodwork. All of the rooms have hand crafted shelves, coat racks, mirror frames, end tables and other appointments. There are also original oil paintings, watercolors and pastels to make each room more personal. The rooms have their own color theme and name. They are each named after a legend of the old west. For example: The Annie Oakley room is a motel unit decorated in the colors of cream and rose. There are pictures on the wall of Annie Oakley, a rifle, flowers and greenery, sconces with votive cups, mirrors, a hand crafted table and a gumball machine. The Doc Holliday room is a one room, kitchen furnished in yellow and gold and decorated with pistols, cards, hats etc. Some units have hand-made headboards fashioned from aspen logs. You may not remember your room number but chances are you will remember the name. Sounds like it is worth a click

Pioneer Lodge is located in the heart of beautiful Red River Valley at the foot of the ski lift. Accomodations include individual cabins with fireplaces. All units are carpeted and are provided with cable TVs, linens and kitchen utensils. Pioneer Lodge is within walking distance of all the activity and recreation that Red River has to offer. All Pioneer Lodge cabins have front porches where you can sit and watch the skiers on the mountain. Only 1/2 block from the main ski lift and Red River Trout Stream. Park your vehicle and walk to all areas. Fish in our private lake. Hot Tub on property for guest use. Queen Size Beds.

Located at the center of Red River, the Ponderosa is within walking distance of shopping, dinner at your favorite restaurant, picking up that ski hat you forgot to bring, or taking a ride on the chairlift. You never have to use your car. Ponderosa Lodge features all queen-sized beds, in-room phones, full bath with double lavatories, color cable TV and beautiful newly remodelled furnishings. All of Ponderosa Lodge's suites feature stone fireplaces, full-size kitchens with oak cabinets and all dinnerware, cooking and eating utensils. Ponderosa Lodge rents basic motel rooms as well as one, two and three bedroom suites. Ponderosa Lodge's Lodge Suite can be rented as either a four or five bedroom unit. It comes equipped with an electric kitchen, oak dining room suite, extra large living room with fireplace and two color TV's. As a five bedroom unit this accommodates up to 14 people. The Ponderosa has the facilities to handle everything from a small family reunion to a large ski group. Helping put together an effective meeting is a Ponderosa Lodge forte.

The Rio Colorado Lodge, situated on the banks of the beautiful Red River, offers fully-furnished, individual cabins nestled in five scenic acres in the spectacular Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico.
The Rio Colorado Lodge features rustic cabins, a private lake for summer-time fishing, a large playground and picnic area, Bar-b-que grills, and is within easy walking distance to mountain hiking trails, as well as the shops in town. Accommodations: Group 1: #8, 17, & 23 Three bedroom cabin with bath, kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, cable TV, and fireplace (no fireplace in cabin #8). Group 2: #4, 7, 10, 16, 18, 19, 20, & 21 Two bedroom cabin with shower, kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, cable TV, and fireplace. Group 3: #1, 2, & 9 #1 & 2: Two bedroom cabin with tub, kitchen, living room, and cable TV. #9: Two bedroom cabin with shower, kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, and cable TV. Group 4: #3, 5, 6, 14, 24, 25: One bedroom cabin or loft cabin with shower, kitchen or kitchenette, living room with sofa bed, free-standing fireplace, and cable TV. All Rio Colorado Lodge cabins are carpeted and furnished with linens, bath and cleaning towels, dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. Maid service (except for towel exchange) is not provided, unless staying for over 5 days.

River Retreat cabins were built in 2001 and are located right on the river. They are 900 sq. ft. and two stories high. They have rough exterior siding cut from trees with the bark still attached - bringing back the historical look of the old mining days in Red River. The interiors, however, are very modern and well equipped, offering a private getaway for up to eight people. There is a porch ten feet from the river. The bottom story offers a swing and porch furniture for your enjoyment. You can spend hours in the swing just watching and feeding the wild ducks. You can even fish from your porch. Guests have the use of the Laundromat and meeting room at Red River RV Park next door. Cabin #5 is fully handicap accessible.

Located in the "Heart" of Red River, the Best Western River's Edge Lodge is within walking distance of browsing the many unique shops as well as dining and nightly entertainment at several of the fine local restaurants and bars. River's Edge is just three blocks from the Red River Community House, which is available for family reunions, conventions, meetings and of course the ever popular Square Dancing. Some other summer activities include hiking, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, Jeep tours, bicycling, scenic ski-lift rides, and much more. River's Edge rooms are equipped with in room bicycle hanging storage.

Roadrunner RV Resort is a heavily wooded 25 acre RV Park is nestled in the beautiful Red River Valley with the Red River running through the middle of the Park. Roadrunner RV Resort RV sites are large enough to allow the abundant space for any type of RV/camper and all sites have water, electric, sewer, and cable TV hook-ups.
