Professional Computing
There are a lot of very qualified computer professionals in Taos. Since the beginnings of LaPlaza over ten years ago, this has grown tremendously with the advent of DSL high speed lines all over Taos, and increased telecommuting. Many of these computer professionals offer spectacular graphics and wonderful Web sites. The best way to decide about getting your site upgraded, or for starting a new site, is to spend time on the web looking at what's there. But not just a little time. If you want to start a serious and competitive site (even if it's comedy site), then you will need to put in some serious time. Dozens of hours at least. If you do not spend time on the web, your business or institution loses. There are some very powerful and professional services listed here. This section of taoslink.com is the most helpful guide that you'll ever find to just what's going on with web development in Taos.

For Pros and interested others: This is an important site to remember. It's a quick and easy way to check out site URLs for the following info: Website Title, Meta Description, Meta Keywords, Response Code, Host's SSL Cert, When host's SSL expires, Alexa Trend/Rank, Website Status, Reverse IP, Server Type, IP Address (ARIN & RIPE IP search), IP Location, Blacklist Status, Record Type, Monitor, Wildcard search, Other TLDs for .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, Name Server, ICANN Registrar, Date the URL was created, when the URL expires, Status. This is how we found out just how many of the taos-prefix URLs are being registered by people and companies in a number of American states as well as: Canada, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Germany and Cayman Islands. A Santa Fe site is using a taos-prefix URL as a redirect to their site. This is also one of the ways that we check to see if the sites on taoslink.com are genuine. Can you dig it?

Zevo looks super simple, but is it. Behind the plain front end is a powerful Lisp database made by Conrad Bookout. This is R&D all the way. You can play around adding contacts, favorite books and movies, journals, notes, recipes, to-do lists, web bookmarks and more. This is one particular model of the database engine - other models can include any sort of Lisp object-oriented modeling, as specified by a client.
