Pavel Lukes has launched his campaign for town of Taos council. Pavel Lukes chose Ronnie Lee's Supper Club because he believes the recent town council denial of a beer and wine license to Ronnie Lee's Supper Club is typical of what is wrong with town government. Pavel served on the town planning commission and was a vocal opponent of revising the town code to allow "big box" commercial development. He is pleased that Virginia Medina, life long resident and local businesswoman, has agreed to serve as his campaign manager and that Sarah Backus, former town planning director and attorney, has agreed to serve as his campaign chairman.
Lukes promises to fight for three goals: (1) A Safer Taos, (2) Economic Prosperity and (3) Fair and Open Government. He will fight for A Safer Taos by (1) allocating more resources to the police, (2) supporting the victims of crime and (3) fighting the causes of crime. He will fight for Economic Prosperity by (1) rooting out inefficiency and waste in town government and (2) allocating more resources to economic development. He will fight for Fair and Open Government by (1) applying the rules to everyone equally and (2) not hiding anything.

Please review my platform and past experience and contact me if you have questions or comments. I truly appreciate your vote, thank you."

I worked for them when I lived in NM. The etchings are from small copper plates, and the images are wonderful southwestern moments. The landscape and architecture that is captured, truly a gift from the past.

Great Site! This site has been around for a while. It moved July '08 from a small to a large ISP. The site will undergo a face lift as well as an upgrade to a new engine to 'run' the back end of it.
