ChloƩ Bren Price is a Nationally Acclaimed Watercolor Artist Living in Taos. About her work, Bren reflects, "For me, the freedom of going into another realm where there are no rules, no boundaries, just that oneness of being in process with the creation, is what being an artist is about. . . I want the viewer to become such a part of my work that he is filled with questions, not answers; that he must interpret for himself what is there, and that he will find something in my work that is his alone - a journey of discovery."

Alvaro Cardona-Hine, from Costa Rica, has lived in the United States since 1939. Cardona-Hine is a self-taught artist practicing three disciplines: painting, writing and musical composition. Of necessity, he became his own teacher, inspired by all of the great artists, Eastern as well as Western. Barbara McCauley began painting and drawing in her teens and studied drawing for 2 years at UCLA, but pursued writing for the next 30 years, principally poetry, and has numerous publications in poetry, fiction, non-fiction and one Emmy Award-winning educational television series. Her work has a concentrated essence and feeling for place as opposed to an exactness of representation. In the brief time since she has returned to painting, her work is in collections all over the United States as well as abroad.<br/>

Carey Moore Studio - Dramatic, colorful scenes of northern New Mexico. Carey Moore moved to Taos in 1976. Moore studied painting with Larry Hillburn, Noel Hudson and Ray Vinella among others. She has won awards in national juried exhibitions, and has had 16 one-person shows. She has served on the board of numerous art organizations including the Taos Institute of the Arts, Visual Arts Committee of the Stables Art Center, and as Museum Chair of the Art Committee for the Harwood Foundation. The color created by light on landscape, the charm of the design of a Taos street, are what has shaped Carey Moore's dramatic eye for visual art in her oil paintings of Northern New Mexico. As a member of the national organization Women Artists of the West (WAOW), Carey Moore's work is seen internationally in private and corporate collections. Carey Moore's paintings are seen on the covers of such diverse books as the "Spirit that wants me" (Duff Publishing), the Danish translation of "Maps to Ectsacy" (Borgen Press), the "Names and Numbers" phone book of Taos and Northern New Mexico (Aspenwood Directories), and an ecology reader called "What on Earth?" published by Perfection Learning.

Clarence Medina has been painting since he was about 12, and now he's in his mid 30's. He's probably painted more Embudo Valley scenery than just about anybody else on earth. Even on the coldest winter days, you can find Clarence Medina outdoors, with his easel, trying to capture beauty on his canvas. And capture it he does. When in New Mexico please plan a visit to the Medina Studio. The studio sits perched ontop of a hill with the Acequia Apodaca flowing below, and the fabulous views of the Sangre de Cristos are a must see during sunset.
