Award winning visual artist Adam Teitelbaum works with his wife Tracy, out of their Wisdom Way studio at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountains in Taos, New Mexico. Together they are creating a new kind of visual language. Intelligent, humorous, and thought provoking these colorful, detailed, creations are bold and unafraid. Visually stunning, Adam's work examines social issues and popular culture with a truly unique artistic style and the critical eye of a historian. The large dimensional pieces are a mixed up, mixed media combination of layered construction, painted clay objects, illustration, painting, recycled materials, and reverse painting on old windows. Each individual piece tells a story, and each story fits into the whole, creating an ever expanding diorama-like universe. Alberto Amura, a Taos resident, has a multifaceted skills and professional background which includes education, science, metaphysics, and art. Originally from Argentina, his interest in the fine arts started early in his life through the tutoring of his Italian father who taught him drawing and oil painting. Alberto Amura studied art in Buenos Aires at the Instituto Zartco Shimat. He taught decoupage and gilding techniques at Glendale College Community Program in Los Angeles, and at various private art & crafts academies in California. Alberto Amura's chosen medium is watercolor which he uses in an unconventional way with thick layers of surface color mixing, detailed drybrush applications, and flatwash techniques. Alberto Amura's palette is an essential mixture of warm colors where red and yellow hues are dominant.

Artist Anita Rodriguez explores a place she calls "my Hispanic-Chicano-Mexican-Mestizo-Indian-Jewish- Gringoy virtual country", documenting her amazing world in her vividly colorful paintings so rich in detail, humor, and meaning.  Both originals and prints from her huge body of work are available at this site.  Rodriguez, who divides her time between Taos, NM, and Guanajuato, Mexico, is also a recognized expert in adobe architectural finishing, a published writer, and gifted Tarot reader.

This delightful site features the work of Annie Coe. To Annie Coe painting is about texture, color and the joy of it. Annie Coe knew she wanted to be an artist at eight years old. Her mother went out and bought her an oil set. Annie Coe grew up in Oregon and painted everything in sight. In 1981 Annie Coe moved to San Francisco. It was there that she began to develop her own style. Now that Annie Coe live in New Mexico she is inspired by all the beauty that surrounds her here. <br/>

The border between painting and drawing is non-existent to B J Briner.  The elements that join them are light, color and form.  B J Briner's subject matter comes from exposure to the American West.  The emotion in B J Briner's work has evolved from layers of experiences in life and the fulfillment she gets when she incorporate these experiences in her art.  Layers of life are poured onto a piece of paper like the layers of color...one upon another.  The result is a colored conversation that beckons a mood and moves the viewer closer to the flavors of color and shadow.  From "Best of Show" at the Taos Spring Arts Festival to donating works to philanthropic organizations or works that hang in the US Justice Department her art remains the same.  True to the evolving journey that takes each individual work of art to it's completion.

Original Oil Paintings of Don Brackett and PJ Garoutte. Don is a plein-air artist, painting in a spontaneous mode. He is described as a painters painter whose works evoke the mystery and vibrancy of the northern New Mexico landscape. Working in oil with pallette knife and brush, Don's goals are to bring a different and exciting look by use of strong texture and vibrant color. P J Garoutte, whose roots are in Signes, France, was born in Freistatt, MO and grew up in Hoberg and Mt Vernon MO. In the late 1950's she worked for Hallmark Cards, Kansas City, MO and attended Kansas City Art Institute. Garoutte studied watercolor with Robert E. Wood, Millard Sheets, Charles Reid and Milford Zornes in the 1970's. P J Garoutte is a past president of New Mexico Watercolor Society and won many national and regional awards.<br/>
