Events Music and Entertainment

Soundscapes is a non-profit, educational and civic organization that offers musical and vocal performances to the larger communities of Taos and Colfax Counties. Professional and student musicians, especially musicians from Northern New Mexico, are given the opportunity to create diverse programs designed for the enjoyment of a broad range of audiences. Soundscapes provides free educational performances to children in public schools to ignite an interest in music and the performing arts. This is an important service in Taos and Colfax Counties where the public schools have minimal music programs. Free performances are also given to the elderly in nursing homes and retirement communities. Concerts are primarily played by small ensembles for general audiences, including seldom heard musical treasures.

I worked for them when I lived in NM. The etchings are from small copper plates, and the images are wonderful southwestern moments. The landscape and architecture that is captured, truly a gift from the past.

Great Site! This site has been around for a while. It moved July '08 from a small to a large ISP. The site will undergo a face lift as well as an upgrade to a new engine to 'run' the back end of it.

Thanks for including my site, although we are technically south of Taos by 50+ miles in Sapello NM
